Downpatrick Head


Downpatrick Head (from Irish: Dún Pádraig, meaning “Patrick’s stronghold”) is part of the Wild Atlantic Way in Northern Ireland. 80 meters off Downpatrick Head stands a colossal, 50 meters in height, sea-stack called Dun Briste (The Broken Fort). The surrounding cliffs, including the rock formation, were formed about c. 350 million years ago, when the sea temperatures were much higher than today.  The file is 8354 x 5569 px and can be printed at 90cm on canvas and 45cm on glass.
